I don't think hackers are having trouble finding valid usernames, as many sites like Digg, AJAX Lessons, eBay, etc., show you all kinds of usernames as part of the service.  Finding usernames isn't hard, finding passwords is.</description>

BUT:

true as well, this is an example how to open your webservice that needs user/password logins for hackers. on a normal webpage, hackers have to tryout logins or signups very inconveniantly by typing in a name and wait for the answer whether the name is already in use.

with the ajax solution they get the response almost instantly, easing their hackery for a significant amount of time! keep that always in mind, if you think you wanna use this feature!</description>
